LA Infrastructure Academy
Springboard Fund, 2007

LA Infrastructure Academy prepared high school students for skilled trades and engineering careers. Working in partnership with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, the school district, the Department of Water and Power, Southern California Gas Company, LA Trade Tech College, and other partners, the Academy prepared students for solid careers in a job market that was seeking new members as its longtime baby-boomer workforce aged and retired. The program developed a workforce that was demanded by the city and provided well-supported, structured opportunities to young people who needed jobs.

Chief Executive Officer: Marcus Castain
