Carol Williams is the Executive Director of Interval House, a domestic violence shelter serving Long Beach and Orange County. She has served as the organization’s director since shortly after its founding 20 years ago. Today, Interval House maintains three shelter facilities and administrative headquarters to provide comprehensive services to battered women and children. The organization offers counseling and a 24-hour hotline in 32 languages, emergency shelter and second stage housing, and a wide range of education, outreach and aftercare programs. Williams is noted for her extraordinary mentoring skills; her senior staff include many former clients who have gone on to receive national recognition for their work in violence prevention.
