Marqueece Harris-Dawson is the former President & CEO of Community Coalition, an organization that works to help transform the social and economic conditions in South LA that foster addiction, crime, violence and poverty. The Coalition has built a community institution that involves thousands of members in creating, influencing, and changing public policy. His Stanton Fellowship enabled Marqueece to undertake the process of forming a collaborative of experienced leaders, educators, and trainers to guide African American leaders transitioning into leadership roles within service, social justice, and faith-based community organizations in LA.
