Ruth Slaughter worked in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years as a manager, trainer, community organizer, and advocate for women’s programs. Starting in 1990, she served as Director of the AIDS Prevention Division at Prototypes (now a program of HealthRIGHT 360), a Culver City-based organization providing outreach services, education, and intervention services to women, along with AIDS-related research and training. Ruth has also served on the California Women’s Commission on Alcohol and Drug Dependencies and held positions with organizations including Haven House of Pasadena and the Pasadena Health Department Alcoholism Center.
