Maria Brenes is the Executive Director of InnerCity Struggle (ICS), which seeks to build a powerful and influential movement of youth and families on the Eastside of Los Angeles to promote healthy, safe, and nonviolent communities. ICS organizes youth and families in Boyle Heights, East LA, El Sereno and Lincoln Heights for social and educational justice.
