We Are the Next aims to cultivate civic investment in place by encouraging young people to engage with the cultural heritage and narratives of the built environment. Through civic construction management, workshops, and educational programs, the organization works to dispel an attitude that our cities are disposable.
We Are the Next boasts a small but ambitious portfolio of projects including the restoration and relocation of both the original Taco Bell in Downey and the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot, the last remaining railroad depot in Long Beach.
