reDiscover Center
Springboard Fund, 2007

reDiscover Center achieves several goals with its program that converts industrial overage and waste into art supplies for schools. Waste is reduced and sustainability promoted when industry donates fabric samples, plastic pipes, mylar and other items that would otherwise end up in landfill. Teachers who are chronically short of art supplies receive materials, and local artists instruct teachers and students on how to transform the materials into fun and creative projects. The Center also serves as a field trip destination and workshop site.
