Debra Suh is the former Executive Director of the Center for the Pacific Asian Family (CPAF), which opened the nation’s first multilingual and multicultural domestic violence emergency shelter for Asian Pacific Islander (API) women and their children. CPAF also operates the only rape crisis center in the US dedicated to serving API survivors, along with a transitional shelter, children’s programs, and a multilingual 24-hour hotline for survivors of violence. An immigrant herself, Debra brought her legal training and deep commitment to social justice to advocate for non-English-speaking immigrant women and to help eradicate the root causes of violence.
* Debra transitioned out of her role at CPAF in 2023 and currently serves on Durfee’s Board of Trustees.
